From May 28–30, 2025, Dr. Hakop Pashayan, Senior Research Scientist, and Dr. Min-Hsiu Hsieh, Director of the Hon Hai Quantum Computing Research Center, visited the University of Sydney to engage with leading researchers in quantum theory and theoretical computer science. The visit included meetings with the quantum theory group in the School of Physics and the theoretical computer science group in the School of Computer Science to discuss recent advances and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
During the visit, Dr. Pashayan presented his latest research through two seminar talks titled “Classical Simulation of Noisy Quantum Circuits,” showcasing theoretical developments that advance understanding of quantum computational resources under realistic noise. These seminars and discussions reinforced Hon Hai’s commitment to fostering strong connections with academic research communities and to advancing foundational and practical aspects of quantum information science.
