Hon Hai Research Institute Director Invited to IEEE SiPS 2025 Technical Program Committee

Dr. Min-Hsiu Hsieh, Director of the Quantum Computing Research Center at Hon Hai Research Institute, has recently been invited to serve as a member of the Technical Program Committee (TPC) for the 38th IEEE Workshop on Signal Processing Systems (SiPS 2025). He will join experts and scholars from around the world in reviewing submissions and shaping the technical agenda of the conference. This appointment highlights Dr Hsieh’s academic standing at the intersection of quantum computing and signal processing, as well as Taiwan’s growing influence in foundational theoretical research.
The 38th IEEE Workshop on Signal Processing Systems (SiPS) is a premier international forum in the area of design, implementation, and application of signal processing systems. It addresses all aspects of architecture and design methods of these systems. Emphasis is on current and future challenges in research and development in both academia and industry. The 2025 edition will be held from November 1 to 4 at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Kowloon, Hong Kong), and is expected to attract hundreds of researchers, developers, and students from across the globe.
Dr. Hsieh has long been dedicated to research in quantum algorithms, error correction, and quantum system architecture, with recent work extending to quantum simulation design. As a key leader at Hon Hai Research Institute, he has also actively promoted international collaboration in quantum technologies between Taiwan and partners in the U.S., Japan, and Europe. In joining the TPC, he will not only participate in paper review and agenda planning, but also bring perspectives from Taiwan, particularly on emerging architectures such as quantum accelerators and heterogeneous computing platforms in signal processing systems.
