簡介
郭浩中所長,於三五族 (III-V) 高速半導體 (GaAs, InP, GaN, etc.) 之材料、光電元件與雷射技術相關領域,有著超過二十年的應用研究與經驗。自 2004 年起,郭所長致力於高效率光電半導體元件的相關研究,尤其著重於改善二極體效率下降等問題,並且成功製作出全世界第一個電激發的氮化鎵垂直共振腔面射型雷射 (GaN VCSEL),開創了GaN VCSEL相關研究領域。郭所長在國際上亦獲得許多殊榮與肯定,於 2012年至 2021 年間,獲得了 OSA、IET、SPIE、IEEE 和 IAAM 等會士資格。
亦曾擔任 IEEE/Photonics 台北分會主席、IEEE JSTQE 客座編輯、OSA/IEEE Journal of Lightwave Technology 與 OSA Photonics Research 副主編等。
