Abstract

Silicon MOS spin qubits form a key building block for quantum computing, offering high coherence and precise control within a scalable semiconductor platform. This talk will cover the fundamental principles underlying spin qubits in silicon MOS quantum dots, including qubit physics, control techniques, and qubit benchmarking. I will discuss recent progress in silicon based qubits, highlighting open challenges and future directions in the field.

Henry Yang is an Associate Professor at UNSW Sydney, specialising in silicon spin qubits. His research focuses on quantum dot physics, quantum control, and spin qubit characterisation. He collaborates with key industry partners, and contributes to advancing the foundations of silicon-based quantum technology.
