「著重發展量子演算法,建造超越傳統電腦的量子電腦。」
量子計算主要利用量子疊加與量子糾纏特性來處理數據,有望為各種計算問題提供顯著的加速。鴻海量子計算研究所由謝明修教授領軍,在研究領域上含括硬體及軟體兩大方向。硬體方面,預計設置離子阱實驗室,並發展量子控制系統及微型化。軟體方面則包含量子最佳化、量子計量學、量子容錯計算等等。本研究中心之主要任務為
1. 進行量子計算相關主題的研究、研發
2. 積極探索量子計算適合處理的應用問題
3. 培育養成量子計算相關領域之科技人才
4. 推動台灣量子計算產學合作
